Dr. Matthew Scurria
Meet Dr. Matt
Matt Scurria is a graduate of Miami University and The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. A longtime resident of central Ohio, Matt earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from OSU in 2015.
Background
A native of Dublin, Ohio, Matt attended St. Charles Preparatory High School, lettering for three years in lacrosse and two years in soccer as well as being part of the National Honor Society.
Serving Our Patients and the Community
In addition to his military experience, Matt has performed a considerable amount of volunteer work for the Care Clinic and Missions of Mercy. His military, volunteer and educational background inform his work at Springfield Dental Group. He has also completed training in clear orthodontic smiles to help our patients have straighter smiles. He and his wife have a daughter and a dog, and they enjoy spending time out in nature on the weekends.

Serving the Country
Matt has served as a dentist for Air Force bases. In 2015, he went to Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama for Commissioned Officer Training, then completed an active duty tour as a general dentist at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. He graduated as top resident from a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency, after which he attended Squadron Officer School at Maxwell. He was chosen as 43rd Medical Squadron Outstanding Company Grade Officer of the Year at Pope Army Air Field in North Carolina.
