Dental Bridges

The Dental Bridge Process We Follow

We’ll get things started by scheduling a one-on-one consultation with you. At your consultation, we’ll figure out whether a dental bridge is the right solution for you, and whether the process will require another extraction to make room or a dental implant to support the bridge.

1
At your dental bridge appointment, we’ll apply a local anesthetic to keep you as comfortable as possible.
2
We’ll shape the supporting adjacent teeth (sometimes called abutments) in order to make room for the crowns that will be placed on top of the anchoring teeth.
3
We make an impression of the area and send it to the dental lab to ensure your dental bridge has a secure custom fit.
4
We’ll install a temporary bridge to protect the area while we complete the custom bridge.
5
You’ll come in for a second visit, at which we will place and adjust your permanent bridge, then – if everything fits comfortable – cement it into place.
6
We’ll set a follow-up appointment to make sure your bridge remains comfortable and functional.
